Blackpool Central Pier

Blackpool Central Pier, a vibrant entertainment hub on the seafront, is located approximately 3 miles from Swish Holiday Apartments on Empress Drive, Blackpool. The drive typically takes around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. To reach Central Pier, head south on Queens Promenade (A584). Continue along the Promenade, passing North Pier and Blackpool Tower. Central Pier is easily recognisable by its large Ferris wheel and is located just past the Blackpool Tower, on the seafront.

Prices & Tickets

There is no charge for entry to any of Blackpool’s three piers. The only charges made are for access to any shows taking place and for rides on the piers.

Parking Advice:

There are several convenient parking options near Blackpool Central Pier:

  • Central Car Park: This is the largest and most convenient car park, located just a short walk from Central Pier. It offers plenty of spaces and easy access to the pier and other nearby attractions. The car park operates on a pay-and-display basis, and it’s advisable to arrive early, especially during peak times such as weekends and school holidays, to secure a spot.
  • Bonny Street Car Park: Another nearby option is Bonny Street Car Park, which is also within walking distance of Central Pier. It’s slightly smaller than Central Car Park but still offers convenient access to the pier.
  • On-Street Parking: Limited on-street parking is available along the Promenade and surrounding streets, though these spaces can fill up quickly and are subject to time restrictions and parking fees.
